I think this is really true with food; a great deal of the content being put out there is ‘reinventing the wheel’, especially when, for the most part, we are all delving into the same skill-sets we have learnt from our teachers and we are working with the same rules of culinary chemistry. We also have so many resources to explore that are tried-and-true, staid and classic, that I think simply trying to make old standards that people love to eat, in your own special way that makes them love them even more, is a modest yet admirable value to have and there is a place for it alongside innovation and envelope-pushing.
